Was just thinking of your BTS shoot and wondered if the editing video was out and of course I get on RUclips and there it is! Thanks for sharing your secrets, this helped me understand some of the tools a lot better than I did before! Would love more editing videos in the future, especially for more portraits and landscapes.

I notionally edit better in LR than LRC but LRC provides better and more options. It’s a genuine conundrum

Sticks out to me anymore when professionals who EDC 'lesser' gear, e.g., APSC, near apologize when they talk about it. I expect in the moment, it wasn't even a conscious thing. I have done it myself. There's an undertone of: as a professional I shoot FF but I also like <insert gear here>. Own the fact that your X100 VI is a wonderful piece of gear, as are other Fuji APSC cameras. Highly capable and not in need of any kind of near apologetic treatment. Photo/video/sound is my long time side gig, and I frequent carry my small gear: Fuji XE3, Sony RX100 VII, Sony ZV1, instead of my Fuji XT4 and the larger lenses I have for it. I had an X100F back when the F was giving way to the V, and it was very good. The XE series became my favorite small Fuji, though.

Indeed too much editing, to the point is noticeable over the composition, can deprive from the connection to what exists in the photo and, to me at least, the photograph turns into a digital image. Nice photographs : )

I know this comment is going to read as hate but I promise it's not--I didn't (in my humble opinion) see anything creative in this video. What I seen were simple tips about lighting which I'm sure is helpful for some folks, but I don't think that aligns with 'creative photography' as much as it does composition and lighting. I fully expected to see you use a CD, a mirror or piece of glass, shoot through an opaque item or with a modified piece of dishware. I'd call for a redo! Show us truly creative photography.

Distance from your subject affects dept of field as well.

Nice tips, but why all youtube and instagram photographer forgeting main compositions rules and still shooting with face in the middle of picture. I really dont like this trend with so much space around, which is very often blank and not in golden rule. Sometimes is ok, but why almost everytime?
